“ This was our first visit here in many years, and definitely since they changed names and ownership in early 2023. This location has always been primarily Mexican food as far back as I can remember, 1980 (?), but has changed owners too many times to count. My on-going passion for finding good chile rellenos got the best of me today, and I discovered they do make rellenos here. Unfortunately, with so few reviews, no one so far had mentioned whether Los Armandos' were good or bad. Guess that it was going to be left up to me. And today, it was time. While the rellenos were slightly smaller than many I've seen, there were two of them per order, tender, good batter, nicely filled with melty cheese, and covered in a nice chunky, home-style sauce. They were plated with rice, refried beans, lettuce, pico de Gallo. The guacamole was fresh and good. Too bad the beans and rice were disappointing, lacking in flavor. The rest was delicious. We also ordered two shredded beef tacos, durado style. Perfect! They were full sized and contained a generous amount of moist, shredded beef, topped with crisp lettuce and yellow shredded cheese. Very tasty, especially with a drizzle of their house, spicy green salsa. We did not go inside. They have a drive-thru window that is quite handy, with a minor wait. No matter, everything was freshly cooked and still hot, and the cashier girl was delightful. Our meals totaled $24. Overall, this was a nice, first impression. I look forward to returning. ”
“ The food was tasty but the salsa was average. It wasn't super flavorful, or spicy. They had jalapeños & pickled onions which were a nice addition. The service was really nice, and they have lots of seating so I'd definitely recommend checking them out if you're local to the area! ”
“ I've been here a few times, and I've yet to be disappointed. This time, I came for the chorizo and egg burrito. I like my burrito with cheese, beans, potatoes, and sour cream, so I asked for that extra, and honestly, it was the best chorizo and egg burrito that I've had in a long time. This place has a drive thru, which is so convenient if you're like me and get a little bit of social anxiety lol. The lady who took my order was also very nice. She asked me which sauce I wanted red or green, and I said BOTH plz. She then gave me 3 varieties of their salsa, and they're all good. Will definitely be back for the bfast burrito, I've tried so many bfast burritos in Corona, and I think this beat them all! ”
“ This is the spot! We absolutely love Los Armandos. Our family "go to" at least once a week. The prices are reasonable, portions are large, and the taste is on point! Even the salsa is good!! The staff is also friendly and fast! The Cabeza is a must have! ”
“ I've only been to Los Armando's one time and had one item; the Carnitas burrito. Based on that, I will be back! It was very tasty, with meaty pieces and charred ends, along with Guacamole and pico. Add the red and green salsas from the salsa bar: PERFECT! Corona has several really good quick Mexican food restaurants, and I will now add this one to the rotation. One of my usual spots was closed on Sundays, so I give this one a try. Very glad I did. It's a small mom-and-pop type of shop, but with a drive-through. The prices are good for the amount of food you get. ”
“ Noel & Angel fantastic customer service & food. Portions are big and quality of the food is superb. Very happy with the service, hours & cleanliness. We will be back! ”
“ Came to check out their taco Tuesday. $1.75 mini street tacos. I tried the carnitas, chicken, asada and adobada. Everything had great flavor! Tacos were small but they were generous with meat portion. The carnitas was surprisingly crunchy and chunky not shreddy like expected. The adobada was crisped up before assembly and had a nice char to it. The chicken and asada were lean yet flavorful. My Son got the same variety but added buche and said that was his favorite. I like that the give the grilled onions and jalapenos. They are a game changer. My husband got the shredded beef taco plate. (Not a Tuesday deal but we like to try this everywhere) They have great rice and beans and the crunchy tacos were good, not going to be a repeat order though. Service was quick and thorough. There was plenty of seating inside. I noticed most people order to go and drive through. The area can be kind of sketchy but we will be coming around again. ”
“ The food at Los Armando's is as good it needs to be for this most typical of taco stands. I tried an adobada taco, a carne asada taco and a carnitas taco . While they were freshly built to order the meats tasted a little old and reheated on the plancha. The little salsa bar was a nice touch as their salsa was quite punchy and spicy. They had the usual suspects available on the salsa Bar . A chile onion mix, carrots en escabeche, radish slices, and the tacos came with grilled onions and a fried guero chile. Not bad not great. Service was fast and friendly and they had a drive through window. Ambiance was well worn and outdated. In a pinch it was fine. ”
“ I've been coming here for years never left a review. I know they've had multiple name changes if your Corona local you know exactly what I'm talking about. Honestly though this is my local breakfast burrito gem that I low key gate keep until today I saw they had a lot of negative reviews, insensitive, customer, service, or food quality and I'm kind of here to let people know. It's honestly not that bad. Been coming here for almost a year straight and the food is always consistent especially my breakfast burrito the lady that works the morning is very kind and straight to the point and she knows my annoying ass order so big up to her for never giving me attitude ”
